Why Vietnam has a bright future in Technological Advancements?

Since the early 2000s, Vietnam has seen an incredible development in the software industry throughout the years.

The IT sectors saw a considerable bloom in 2010, and by 2014, Vietnam was able to provide more than 55,000 jobs to software engineers.

The nation was rated in the top 30 among countries that provided offshore software services and was ranked first as the fastest emerging IT market along with China and India.

The IT field in Vietnam is incredibly promising, so much so that foreign multinationals like Samsung, Microsoft, LG, and Fujitsu have invested extensively in their ever-growing market.

So what makes Vietnam such an emerging powerhouse with a bright future in technological advancements? Let’s find out.

Reasons for Vietnam’s meteoric rise in technological advancements.

1. Budget-friendly Outsourcing.

One of the major advantages that the Vietnam IT scene has over the rest of the developing Asian countries is that its cost of software outsourcing is incredibly low.

It’s almost 30% lower than that of India and 50% than that of the major Eastern European regions. This is precisely what makes the nation such an attractive hotbed for investors and foreign multinationals.

Not only does it help to enrich the market but create more jobs for interns and aspirants.

2. Competent Labor.

The IT markets of the developing companies often suffer from the lack of skilled laborers, which has a big hand in stunting the growth and development of the sector. Without a proper labor force, no matter how innovative your ideas, it will never truly come to fruition.

Vietnam, with its 290 Telecommunication and IT major universities and 228 vocational schools (and this was only in 2013), is capable of creating an eagre and competent employee base, who are constantly looking to innovate new ideas.

3. No Intercultural instability.

Post the Vietnam war, or rather ever since 1979, Vietnam never truly had a conflict within the ethnical groups within nor with its neighboring nations.

Religious stability plays a major role in bringing in foreign investors and offshore technological expertise.

4. There is no lack of investors.

Because of the reliable employee base and innovative ideas that it’s able to produce, the Ho Chi Minh city of Vietnam was acknowledged as one of the top emerging high-tech centers by leading international companies and investors alike.

It was also ranked in the top 10 emerging outsourcing cities for 6 years straight from 2007 to 2012. So, it’s not all that surprising why the nation was able to draw in so many investors in such a short amount of time.

5. Acceptance of Western Cultures.

Unlike China, Vietnam is a lot like India when it comes to accommodating the western business cultures.

English proficiency has improved rapidly throughout the nation in the past few years, and they are much more receptive to foreign cultures now than what they used to be.

This makes them an ideal place for foreigners to seek employment or do further studies in the software development field.

Looking for job opportunities in Vietnam?

With the recent developments that Vietnam has been making in the Technological field, a lot of offshore IT aspirants are looking for job experiences there.

You too can look for some amazing opportunities there, and as there is the option to get a Vietnam visa on arrival, all you have to do is get a pre-approved visa letter through an agency.

You can either apply for a student visa or a longer-term three-month single or multiple entry visa if you’re looking for employment.
