DoNotPay’s new feature makes contacting United’s customer service fast and easy

The third-largest airline and one of America’s darlings, United Airlines is a major company with millions of clients. Although most people use it for domestic flights, it is also renowned for its widespread presence in the Asia-Pacific area. The company offers three ticket types:

  • Economy

  • Premium economy

  • First/Business class

Over the years, United has gained the status of a fan-favorite and became synonymous with comfortable, premium-quality flights. Regular customers can enjoy the MileagePlus program, which comes with plenty of benefits and free activities. 

But all these upsides come with several downsides. Just like with every airline, lost baggage, delayed or canceled flights, and damaged property can happen from time to time. Clients sometimes face other, more bureaucratic problems, such as reservation changes, refunds, and MileagePlus-related issues. In such cases, it is up to United’s customer service to help their cross customers and solve their problems. 

Unfortunately, reaching a live employee is a hard nut to crack. Since United receives hundreds of complaints every week, getting a free agent on the phone is quite complicated. You will have to deal with the phone tree, probably get transferred several times, and then wait forever until the company rep picks up. For an already angry customer, this whole process is a total nightmare. Trying to get help over email or social media platforms is even more frustrating. Your complaint can get lost or ignored, and you may end up waiting for weeks for a reply. What makes things even worse is that there is no guarantee your problem will be solved at all. 

To give frustrated customers a hand, DoNotPay has introduced a new feature: Skip Waiting On Hold. As its name suggests, it enables its users to reach a live United employee in charge of their issue without waiting. It does all the work in your place and, in the end, you just have to pick up and start chatting with the company rep. 

Once you open the app, you should click on the customer support option. Then, enter United as the company whose customer service you want to reach. The app will instantly start the process of reaching the company and you will see a time estimate so you’ll know how much time you have at hand. While the app is working its magic, you can get on with your day—play with your kids, plan your trip, or even watch a TV show. The app will notify you when a company agent is free and you can start your conversation momentarily. It will feel like you have a direct line to your United rep. 

DoNotPay comes with a sort of safety net for its users: conversation recording. If the customer service doesn’t do its job well or refuses to help you, you can use the recordings to call them out on social media. In this day and age, a public post shaming their services is every company’s worst PR nightmare. They will do everything they can to prevent such scandals as they may cost them plenty of customers. 

DoNotPay’s main goal is to protect customers and make major companies treat them with respect. Joshua Browder, the mastermind behind DoNotPay and the company’s CEO, stated: “Major companies allow themselves way too much. In turn, their customers suffer. Since DoNotPay records all conversations, the company will think twice before ripping off the customer or ignoring their complaint.”
