Car Technologies We All Appreciate

The great thing about cars is that by the time you buy a new one, there will be many different technologies that will be developed and that you can take advantage of. Basically, car technologies are constantly being created and included in vehicles.

The use of modern car technologies makes warranties more valuable. If you opt for something like the Chevrolet extended warranty options, you quickly notice that future repairs are covered even for used vehicles. This is definitely something that you want to opt for but you surely also want to be aware of the different modern car technologies that could increase the overall vehicle safety.

Ventilated And Heated Seats

We have access to heated seats for quite a long time now. Even so, they are great. Also, heated seats are very good for us, especially during winter and when the heat is very high as summer days hit us.

The very first heated seat was the Fleetwood in 1966 but records oftentimes say that the Saab 99 (1972 model) gave us the first seat capable of being heated. Regardless of who was first, this feature is nowadays included in most modern vehicles.

Adaptive Cruise Control

ACC (adaptive cruise control) use a camera/radar system in order to track vehicles in front of us. Speed is adjusted accordingly, based on distance. With regular cruise control, the vehicle remains at steady velocity until you intervene. With adaptive cruise control, the vehicle slows down or speeds up based on the position of other cars. This reduces vehicle fatigue.

While completely autonomous vehicles are very far from reality, numerous semi-autonomous features like ACC are now being developed to offer us a future that is driverless.

Parking Sensors And Backup Cameras

As soon as backup cameras were included in cars, they became very valuable for drivers. You basically get to back up the car without having to turn your head. This is something that is very important since it helps us to be safer on the road. Then, we saw the addition of 360 degrees cameras and parking sensors. With parking sensors, you will never have to worry about bumping the car when you park again.

Automatic Liftgates

The 2013 Ford Escape has its own very special place in history because it is the very first vehicle with an automatic liftgate included. Foot-activated liftgate systems do not always work as they should so you can end up quite frustrated. However, modern examples are now in place and they are very simple to operate. Most of them simply allow you to walk in front of the vehicle and the liftgate will be activated when you have your key fob.

Keyless Entry

Soon, we will not have to deal with car keys anymore. We are clearly moving towards different keyless entry systems that can be very practical. Electronic key fobs allow us to lock, unlock, and even start cars from a distance. There are also some that include proximity sensors so that the car door can be automatically unlocked. You just need to touch the car handle and the vehicle will open.

Conclusions

The car technologies mentioned above are just some of those that can be highlighted. There are many other modern options that you can consider and only time will tell us what will be created in the future. We can so easily find something that we will love just by browsing browser features.

Keep your eyes on the different technologies included in the car that you want to buy and you will definitely find something interesting. Just think about what you need and there is a great possibility that you will find it.
