A cyclist is using a Google Assistant-controlled electric bike wheel to ride cross country to CES

There are good ways to getting to CES and then there are bad days to getting to CES. And after that, it is the 10-day cross country bike ride. A week pedaling through zero degree temperatures and 17 hours a day spent across Midwest. It is almost near freezing temperature and even Las Vegas at this time of the year.

This is one way of using your electric bicycle in order to promote it ahead of its launch. It is a good public stunt which is funded by Google and is considered solid. Google is a company which loves making Grand entrances.

This is one of the biggest things ever done by a Google Assistant and Shazam, Shazam is an application owned and developed by Apple Inc, Which can identify music, movies, advertising, and television. The electrons gen 2 wheel was announced around a few months ago and it is available for pre-order by the company and the cost of this bike is 799 dollars on the website. The Google Assistant stunt part is for the CES and will be available as a beta when this bicycle product starts shipping in February.

Google was not satisfied with just releasing the assistant on the phones as well as smart speakers so Google now is approaching other products as well so that Google can get more potential partners. This is an interesting implication of the smart assistant to this date and it makes a lot more sense.

“As we have worked with Google to integrate Assistant, it’s really made us excited about how to make the user experience as simple as possible and how voice technology can be integrated while riding,” Electron VP James Parker said. He further said that there is a good command technology in cars and this has a good amount of opportunity if we use that technology in a bike as well.

The Electron wheel is similar to a lot of other bicycles add on and installing this product on a bike should not take more than a minute according to the company which produces this product. Then all you need to do is secured the sensors to the pedals using the velcro straps which are provided. That is all you need. If you are using the default mode of the system, an incline sensor will be used to detect whether you are going up a hill so that the assist mode will kick in automatically.

Customization

You will also be able to use custom settings using the application provided by the company and you can also use the handlebar Mount in order to customize the output. Even if you have a handlebar Mount, it is kind of a pain and that is when the Google Assistant will help you out. There is no microphone attached to the bike and we think that it will be in the future so you will still need to use your microphone with the earpiece.

Then, all you need to say is, OK Google, start bike ride, and this will start up the wheel and the statistics will be tracked using the application provided by the company. You will also be able to use the assistant in order to change the level of assistance and you will also be able to check the battery of the wheel so that it can read out the statistics as you are riding the bike.

If each and everything goes according to the plan of the rider, the rider should be able to arrive in Vegas on 10th of January that is the second day of the show. There will be a fair amount of-of wheel changes because the rider will only be able to ride for 50 miles on a single charge. Therefore there will be a good amount of swaps.
