Writing skills are very important and every person should have them. They come useful in schools, colleges, universities, and admission exams.
Writing essay exams can be stressful especially if your writing skills are weak. You may be looking at a blank page and run out of time. Good preparation and time management is the key to ace any exam.
Knowing the subject of your exam and having knowledge about is the first step to acing your exam. Revise and re-familiarize yourself with any texts that have been focused on throughout the course before your exam.

However, it’s important to back up your explanation by giving evidence, this enhances your credibility as a writer and shows how familiar you are with your homework or project.
Get into the habit of writing essays and articles in your free time, you can later use them as your homework too. This helps you present your ideas and then describe how you came to that point.
You also have to be fast and efficient when it comes to writing tests. You have a limited time and the freewriting you’ve done will help you here as you will already have the knowledge so you will know what to write.
Here are some tips that will help you ace your exams:
1. Read books and novels
In order to get vocabulary marks in your exam, you need to have a good vocabulary to express yourself. Reading books will help you expand your vocabulary which will allow you to form the correct sentences and use the correct words.
If you learn a new word, try to make a sentence out of it and think about how you can use it in your essays.
2. Practice spelling
Spelling mistakes can entirely change the meaning of your sentence. If you make spelling mistakes, it will be hard for your examiner to understand what you’ve written and because of that, they might not even read your exam paper.
So whenever you learn a new word, try to pronounce it at least 2-3 times, usually pronouncing a word out loud tells you whether you’ve written the word correct or incorrect.
3. Improve your grammar
Grammar is also very important because if your grammar is bad it will make your writing look poor and bad. Use punctuation, it makes your writing fluent, and also make sure to always use the proper tense.
Once you’re done writing your essay or article, ask one of your friends to read it out loud, it will help you identify the issues with your grammar and other silly mistakes.
